San Juan, Puerto Rico — A Journey That Never Gets Old
Three years later, the beauty, history and spirit of San Juan still speak for themselves. ![]()
Sometimes a place leaves an impression that doesn’t fade with time.
Three years ago, I had the opportunity to spend some time in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and I came away with the feeling that this is one of those places that really needs no introduction. The color, the architecture, the ocean, the history and the energy of the city all seem to come together in a way that is uniquely Puerto Rican.
I put together this video as what I call a Travelogue—not a traditional travel video with narration, lists or recommendations, but simply an opportunity to slow down and experience the place through images and music.
The centerpiece is Castillo San Felipe del Morro, the remarkable fortress standing above the entrance to San Juan Bay. After centuries of history, it remains an incredible reminder of Puerto Rico’s importance in the Caribbean and of the generations who lived, worked and defended this extraordinary place.
There are no current travel tips or “Top 10 Things to Do” here. Just San Juan as I experienced it three years ago—its streets, its architecture, its history and its incredible beauty.
Some travel videos have a short shelf life. I don’t think this is one of them.
Puerto Rico is the kind of place where you can watch the waves, walk the old streets and look out from El Morro and simply understand why people fall in love with this island.
So, if you’ve been to Puerto Rico, I hope this brings back a memory.
And if you’ve never been…maybe this will make you curious.
