According to the city of Natalia’s website, Natalia is a small close-knit community of 1,590 that continues to expand both its boundaries and population. This is a small town that continues to work hard, to strive forward and make this a great place to live and raise a family.
Natalia has two gas station/drive thru locations, they have 4 Mexican restaurants, the Chandelier Rose Boutique, Natalia Thai Restaurant, Security State Bank, CD’s Tire/Automotive Shop, a Dollar General Store, Love’s Travel Station that houses a Subway and Wendy’s, Chubby’s Travel Center that houses Charley’s Cheesesteaks & Wings, and newly opened Loves Tire / Retread Warehouse.
Small, but mighty, this ever-growing community is looking forward to a bright future. As part of our exploration of Natalia, we are going to visit La Pasadita, which is a meat market, grocery, and bakery, including a Mexican restaurant.
It is amazing general store where you can eat lunch, purchase food for the week and buy a saddle along with new cowboy boots and hats or sombrero.
Throughout our trip, the weather was overcast but temperate.
We took Interstate 35 but when returning to San Antonio we took farm Road 471 and US State Highway 90. One can see a rural area with farms, smaller homes with acreage and even a train. The area is easy-going with schools, ballfields, and very few stoplights It is a relaxing atmosphere.
